According in wikipedia, the teeth of sharks are not attached to the jaw, but its embedded in the flesh. Like human, when the shark lose a working and healthy tooth it will be replaced by the next tooth behind it. FYI all sharks are have multiple rows of teeth along the edges of their upper and lower jaws. Typically a shark have two to three working rows of teeth with 20 to 30 teeth in each row, but e.g. a whale shark have about 300 teeth in each row.
